about

OST for Balls to the Brawl: An Ego-Trip Beat-Em-Up.

This soundtrack was created during a one-month game jam in 2012. The game continued to receive development and wouldn't-you-know-it it's out now! Why not let folks have access to the tunes, as well? I've tried to polish a few rough edges here and there, but this is the classic soundtrack :) Thanks to Lucas Gonzalez-Fernandez (twitter: FutureCopLGF, Twitch: FutureCopLGF, Insta: futurecoplgf, Newgrounds: futurecoplgf.newgrounds.com) for providing such a fun opportunity!

Unused tunes, sketches, and such are cobbled together on Balls to the Brawl OST extra.

---------------- info about the game --------------------

Balls to the Brawl is a side-scrolling beat-em-up, modeled after old-school games like Streets of Rage, but with deep fighting mechanics and challenging bosses.

PLOT

You are Mike, a street brawler who has been summoned to Shonen Island, where the strongest fighters around the world gather. Fight through the island and make it to the top of the tower, where you will face the master of the island and become the world's strongest!

EGO-TRIP SIMULATOR

This game aims to give you the best ego-trip you need. Are you looking for a challenge to overcome that will require all the skill you can muster? Or are you looking to let off some steam and crush everything in your path effortlessly? We've got you covered either way!

Thanks to MC_truestoriesofthehighwaypatrol for vox on Title Screen, evil laugh on Graveyard of Heroes, and chanting "Hadoken" a lot on The Battle with Ryu.

Very special thanks to Yoko Shimomura and Isao Abe for their awesome work on the original soundtrack for Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior! Part of the Ryu stage theme is referenced in various spots here and there :)
